Muvi Cinemas: Data Driven Environment using
Looker & BigQuery

We helped Muvi unlock the full potential of their data by creating Key
Performance Indicators using Looker & LookML. We organized
training with seamless preparation & execution. We worked on
Change Management to ensure all the users adapt to change.

The challenge

The cinema industry was already well-capitalized by leading
companies in the sector who held the highest market shares. Muvi
Cinemas needed to think outside the box to realize its vision and keep
up with the competition. It was clear that a next-generation data
platform with near real-time data analysis capabilities was paramount
that would ingest data from all their data sources.

The solution

We created a single source of truth for reporting and BI needs allowing
them to develop more complex analytical use cases for forecasting
and prediction under Looker. BigQuery was used for Data
warehousing with Fivetran for the data pipes and Extract Transform
Load along with tools to integrate with existing data sources in near
real-time or batches. Looker was used for BI and data governance.

The result

Looker is helping Muvi Cinemas to get the insights and BigQuery
allows the loading of tons of data in a matter of seconds. With Looker,
they are maintaining the data accuracy, allowing only authorized
people access to the data and avoiding human mistakes with the help
